Sign-VRS was born from the merging of two companies, Sign-now.com and Interpreter Agency Ltd who worked together to create a new Social Enterprise Company - Sign-VRS. Orginally Interpreter Agency Ltd rolled out the online interpreting service in May 2008 but quickly recognised there was some confusion between face-to-face and online interpreting and, as a result, on our return from the USA, Interpreter Agency Ltd decided to establish something simple and meaniful for their clients, which is of course, Video Relay Service.
Sign-now, with their years of experience and wealth of expertise, supply the technology. As far as we are aware, Sign-now.com is the only technology of it's kind in UK that is owned and managed by Deaf people. We have the technology, the interpreting team and,most importantly, we understand what Sign Language users want...
